Vacancy available: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Current medical and eyesight certificate At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
