You should have: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage Your main tasks: • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
