Urgent requirement: we are hiring a confectioner in Scurry County, Texas. You will be based at a cake shop. The role involves: • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing Requirements: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Full-time with occasional weekends. $8,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
