Offshore rigger — Lafayette County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Lafayette County, Missouri. You will be based at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day to day you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
