You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate The role involves: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
