Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in McLean County, Kentucky. You will be based at a residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks The role involves forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge.
