HGV driver — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a HGV driver in Washington County, Iowa. You will be based on long-haul routes across the country. On the job you will handle: • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery You should have: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience Meals and transport allowance provided.
