Butcher wanted in Copiah County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a butcher in Copiah County, Mississippi. Day-to-day duties: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
