Foundry worker — Person County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Person County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
