Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Lincoln County, South Dakota. The job is at a textile finishing unit. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
