Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar worker in LaSalle County, Illinois. The job is on a busy residential building site. Day to day you will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Part-time with flexible hours.
