We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Angelina County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure What we are looking for: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
