Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Part-time with flexible hours.
