Rigger — Live Oak County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Live Oak County, Texas. You will be based at a power plant. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams You will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks.
