Great opportunity: we are hiring a window glazier in Allamakee County, Iowa. You will be based in the profile cutting and welding bay. On the job you will handle: • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame Requirements: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
