Your main tasks: • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
