Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. You will work on a new-build development. On a typical shift you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
