Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Ido, Oyo State. On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Rotating shifts.
