Concrete worker — Boyd County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete worker in Boyd County, Kentucky. The role involves: • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Part-time with flexible hours.
