Furnace operator — Elko County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Elko County, Nevada. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 1+ years on the tools preferred.
