Formwork carpenter — Northwest Arctic Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse What we are looking for: • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
