Gantry crane operator • Milam County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Milam County, Texas. You will work in a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Rotating shifts.
