Now hiring: we are hiring a cement mason in Bay County, Michigan. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. Day to day you will cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage Rotating shifts.
