Fettler — Bond County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Bond County, Illinois. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
