Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Summers County, West Virginia. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles.
