Immediate opening: precision welder (Oregon)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Marion County, Oregon. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE 4+ years on the tools preferred.
