Immediate opening: we are hiring a road roller operator in Marion County, Illinois. The job is at a stone quarry. Day to day you will break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines. Requirements: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Understanding of safe digging near underground services At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $250 per day plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
