Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts.
