Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a container port. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Full-time, day shift. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
