Core maker — Laramie County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Laramie County, Wyoming. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
