Fettler — Furnas County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Furnas County, Nebraska. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
