You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites On a typical shift you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear.
