Argon arc welder — Saint Johns County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Saint Johns County, Florida. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work On the job you will handle: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
