Foundry labourer — Calaveras County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Calaveras County, California. The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
