Blocklayer — Benton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Benton County, Indiana. You will be based on a new-build development. On the job you will handle: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
