Join our team: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Lawrence County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
