Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigger in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The role involves attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer £2,350 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
