Crane rigger • Okeechobee County, Florida

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Okeechobee County, Florida. You will work at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
