Press operator — Montgomery County

Now hiring: we are hiring a press operator in Montgomery County, Iowa. You will be based in a metal fabrication workshop. The role involves record output and downtime on the production sheet; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting. You should have: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg 4+ years on the tools preferred.
