Argon welder — Wilson County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Wilson County, Kansas. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
