Sample machinist — Dutchess County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Dutchess County, New York. The role involves: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
