Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. You will work at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Contact us to fix an interview.
