The role involves carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 4+ years on the tools preferred.
