Immediate opening: sewing machine operator (Sokoto State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Sokoto South, Sokoto State. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory You will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line.
