Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane operator in Hamilton County, Iowa. You will work in a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Day-to-day duties: • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
