Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Matazu, Katsina State. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. ₦200,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
