Gas metal arc welder • Ijebu North, Ogun State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Ijebu North, Ogun State. On the job you will handle: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
