Join our team: foundry labourer (Nebraska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Nemaha County, Nebraska. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
