Pressman — Pittsylvania County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pressman in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. On a typical shift you will operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
