Long-haul driver — Crawford County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Crawford County, Iowa. The job is at a container freight yard. Day to day you will secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; present documents at weighbridges and check posts. What we are looking for: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Valid digital tachograph card Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $130 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
